Razor is a messaging system that will enable TurboCASH users to share data over A Network or over The Internet. The number of user can be greatly expanded, up to 300 users. The only effective restriction is your bandwidth and the fact that TurboCASH cannot practically deal with more than 500 000 transactions in a 30 day period.

Razor is a TurboCASH plugin developed by Philip Copeman and Sylvain Nzala. It is not an Open Source product. It is available on a commercial license only.

Razor is a specialized FTP server that will receive txf files. These are a special form of xml document, described in this document. This then acts as a client to the TurboCASH set of books which controls the communication process. Hence the term “Servent”.

Security is controlled by the FTP server

1. A set of books Razor Test is set up to work with the server 196.25.142.75.
   
2. Download the Set of Books.
   
3. Open the Set of Books. It has two users Sylvain and Faizel they have passwords 123 and 321 respectively.
4. Clear the server
5. See Server Reports - a) Trial Balance b) list of invoices c) list of transactions
6. a) make an invoice or  a batch b) Post c) Tools – Update Server
7. Check reports on local PC and Server.
8. Repeat by copying to another set of books on your client PC. You will see that all three sets of Book swill stay in Sync.
