This option allows you to set up to 2 Reporting Groups for your
General Ledger Accounts, Debtors, Creditors, Stock and Document groups. Note
that the Stock Groups and the Document Groups should only be set if you have a
retail business entity and you are trading in Stock Items or if you are using
Point-of-Sale or if you have a Service entity who generates documents (Invoices,
etc.) for service items.
These reporting groups will allow you when you create an account, a creditor, a debtor and a stock code to select the applicable reporting category within the available reporting groups. When you generate reports, you may select to generate reports or documents for a specific reporting group on the Report Options screen.
To Set Reporting Groups:
Click on the Setup - System Parameters - Groups
menu option or press the

| Account Group 1 / 2 | Account Groups allows you to group or categorise the General Ledger Accounts on which you would like to report on. This allows you to classify or group your Financial Categories Income, Expenses, Capital, Assets and Liabilities. These Account Groups can be linked to each Bank, General Ledger and Tax Account on the Edit - Accounts menu option. |
| Debtor Groups allows you to group or categorise the Debtors Accounts on which you would like to report on. You could possibly have Cash Customers, Retail, and Dealers. These Debtor Groups can be linked to each Debtor on the Edit - Accounts Debtors menu option on the Accounting Information tab. | |
| Creditor Groups allows you to group or categorise the Creditor Accounts on which you would like to report on. These Creditor Groups can be linked to each Creditor on the Edit - Accounts Creditor menu option on the Accounting Information tab. | |
