IMPORT BANK STATEMENT FILE
  
This option allows you to import a bank statement into the Online Banking module. The Bank Statement must exist in any directory or folder on your system. It must be saved in either a valid TurboCASH Bank Statement (*TSC) or a Microsoft Money (*OFC) file format.

To Import a Bank Statement File:
Click on the Tools - Plug-ins - Bank Online menu option or press the and and and keys on your keyboard. The Online Banking utility will be displayed.
Click on the File tab and select the Import Statement option. The Select Statement File will be displayed.

Title bar. Click to display Windows help on this screen. Close button - click to exit this screen. The name of the selected folder. Click on the down arrow to select another folder on your system. One level up - click to select another file in a folder. Create new folder. Back - click to go to the previous folder. View menu - click to select the options in which the folders and files in the selected directory should be displayed. All the folders and/or files on your system or selected directory will be displayed in this area. The selected file name. Click to Open and import the file in the Online Banking screen. Click to close or exit this screen. Select the file type if the correct type is not displayed. Click to go directly to the location on your system.
Select the File Type (TurboCASH Bank Statement (*TSC) or a Microsoft Money (*OFC)).
Select the name of the file and click on the button. The Bank Statement information for the selected file will be imported to the following screen:

Minimise button - click to minimise this screen. Close button - Click to close or exit this screen. Title bar - Displays the location and name of the Set of Books. Double-click to display the screen in full size or to return to the normal size. Restore button - click to display this screen to full size and click again to restore it to its original size. Click to Import, Download or Save Bank Statements. Click to Import an existing Bank Statement file. Click to download a Bank Statement from the Bank or Financial Institution. Click to save an Imported Bank Statement to a file. Click to Edit Transactions and to Allocate References. Click to print, save and load Bank Statement Reports. Click to close or exit the Online Banking utility. The date of the Bank Statement transactions. Reference, if allocated. Memo - the descriptions of the transactions as on the Bank Statement. The transaction amounts displayed in a Blue font colour = Deposits and the amounts in a Black font colour = Payments (Withdrawals/Cheques). If not selected, the transactions is not yet reconciled with the cash book. Vertical scroll bar - move up or down to view more transactions. Click on the down-arrow to select a Bank Account number. The closing Bank Statement balance and the available balance The arrow pointer indicates the selected transaction.

Note that the deposits are displayed in blue and the cheques or payment transactions in the normal system font colours.

If the correct dates are not displayed for the bank statement transactions, you need to select the correct dates when you save the bank statement transactions as a file. It is important to select the correct dates to include transactions (the dates must correspond with those dates for which you need to do the bank reconciliation).
