NETWORK SETUP
  
This option allows you to set your Network in order to update transactions in batches or journals and or documents on a server. You need to specify your Server's Name or the IP (Internet Protocol) Address provided by your Network Administrator or Internet Service Provider (ISP) for your network. You need to test your Net server, and view the test log file from this option. Before you can use the Network Server, the test your Network server must be successful.

The Network settings must be properly setup and configured before you may successfully connect to the Razor Server and Update transactions to the Server. To use the Razor Accounting Server, you need to install the Plug-ins on the TurboCASH Plug-ins CD.

It is advisable to first setup and configure the Internet before you setup and configure the Network Server. If you have set up any users on the system, the user's User ID and his e-mail address, that is logged on in the set of books and his e-mail address will be displayed in this screen. Note this option will only be available to the users that have been granted access for System Setup in the Setup - System Parameters - Access Control, but all users, with a valid e-mail address will be able to send reports, lists and documents on the Internet via e-mail.

To Setup the Network:
Click on the Setup - System Parameters - Internet menu option or press the and and and keys on your keyboard. The Internet Setup screen will be displayed.

Title bar - double-click to display the screen in full size or to return to the normal size. Minimise button - click to minimise this screen. Restore button - click to display this screen to the full size of the screen or to restore it to the original size. Close button - click to close or exit this screen. Click to test the e-mail server, if the account is configured and setup. Enter a valid SMTP server name as provided by the Internet Service Provider. Enter the User identification name or the name will be displayed if an user is created in the Access Control Setup menu option. The e-mail address of the user will be displayed as entered in the Access Control Setup menu option. Enter a valid server name or IP address, if your system has a network server. Click to test the Network server, if it is configured and setup. The results of the test for the E-mail server or the Network server will be displayed. Vertical scroll bar - will be activated when all the information cannot be displayed in the viewable area. Horizontal scroll bar - will be activated when all the information cannot be displayed in the viewable area. Click to save and apply the changes. Click to close or exit this screen.
Enter your Server Name or IP (Internet Protocol) Address as provided by your Network Administrator or Internet Service Provider with whom you already have an account.
Connect to the Internet using your dial-up connection.
Click on the button. This will test your Network connection.

View the results of your settings for the e-mail server. If your e-mail server is set correctly "PASS TEST" should be displayed You will then automatically be disconnected from the Server.
Click on the button.
Click on the button to close this screen.

Server Name - You may enter up to 30 alphanumeric and special characters for your Network server.

User ID - You may enter up to 20 alphanumeric and special characters may be entered in this field. If you have entered any User ID's in the Setup - System Parameters - Access Control menu option, the User ID of the user that is logged on the system, will be displayed. You will not be able to amend any user ID's in this field. User ID's may then only be amended in the Setup - System Parameters - Access Control menu option.

E-Mail Address - Your e-mail address of up to 30 alphanumeric and special characters of your registered E-mail address should be displayed here. If it is not displayed, you need to create a user and enter the e-mail address in the Setup - System Parameters - Access Control menu option. You may also enter your e-mail address in the Setup - System Parameters - Company Info menu option on the Address tab.

If you have entered any E-mail addresses for any User ID's in the Setup - System Parameters - Access Control menu option, the E-mail address for the user that is logged on the system, will be displayed. You will not be able to amend any E-mail addresses for any user in this field. E-mail addresses for users may then only be amended in the Setup - System Parameters - Access Control menu option.
