DELETE BANK ACCOUNTS
  
This option allows you to permanently delete a bank account from a Set of Books.

To Delete a Bank Account:
Click on the File - Accounts - Bank Account menu option or press the and and and keys on your keyboard. The Bank Accounts Search Facility screen, displaying a list of all the available Bank Accounts as well as the Edit Bank Accounts screen will be displayed.

Check that the correct details of the account to be deleted is displayed, before you click on the delete button. Sub-Account Number - this field will be inactive for Bank Accounts, since you may not create Sub-accounts for Bank Accounts. Check that the correct details of the account to be deleted is displayed, before you click on the delete button. Select the Receipts Batch or journal for this Bank Account. If you do not have a Receipts Batch, you first need to create it.
Select the Bank Account on the Bank Accounts Search Facility. The selected bank account will be displayed.
Click on the Delete button. The following confirmation screen will be displayed:


Click on the button. TurboCASH will inform you that the account has been deleted.


Click on the button.
Click on the Close button to exit the Bank Accounts Search Facility screen and on the Close button to exit the Bank Accounts edit screen. You may also press the key on your keyboard twice to exit these screens.

û Error Message - Deleting a Bank Account:

TurboCASH will not allow you to delete a Bank Account if the selected Account has balances. The following error message will be displayed:



üClick on the button and select the correct Bank Account if the incorrect Bank Account was selected.

You still need to Delete the Batch Types (Payments and the Receipts), which is linked to the deleted Bank Account.
