TurboCASH allows you to rebuild the data in the database for a
selected Set of Books. If your data for some reason becomes corrupt, TurboCASH
will ask you to do a Data Re-index or to Rebuild your Database.
NOTE - that only a Set of Books in the TCASH3 directory or other directory in which TurboCASH is installed, will be available to select.
If your Set of Books is in a different directory than the TCASH3 directory or other directory in which TurboCASH is installed, you need to create a copy of the Set of Books or save the Set of Books in the TCASH3 directory or other directory in which TurboCASH is installed.
All users must be logged out before you can commence with this process. Before you start this process, it is also recommended that you:
Click on File - Data Re-index menu option or press the 
and

keys on your keyboard. If a Set of Books is open on
your system, TurboCASH will automatically close the Set of Books and the
Database Rebuild screen will be displayed.
Select the Set of Books.
If necessary, select the Compress Message File to compress the messages in the Message.DB file.
If necessary, select the Known Bug Fix option to fix or repair the database with known bug fixes.
Click on the 
button. The rebuild process will start
and a progress indicator will indicate the status of this process. When the
process is finished, it will display the total of files checked, which is OK and
the amount of files that are corrupted. If there are any corrupted files, try to
fix the errors and / or restore
the Set of Books from the Backup disks or
files.
Click on the 
button to exit or close this screen.
